General
Mr Murthy will provide an in-depth assessment
of the patient’s condition during the consultation.
He will request any investigations required and
arrange a follow-up visit at the earliest possible
opportunity. He will discuss all the treatment
options available including his recommendation.
If surgery is one of the options, he will provide
appropriate counselling including the benefits,
limitations and risks involved.
Insurance
Mr Murthy is registered with all the major Insurance
companies. He ensures that his fees are within
the limits set by the companies. As a result of
this policy, shortfalls of payments by patients
is generally avoided.
Claim forms sent to patients by Insurance companies
may be brought to the appointment and left with
Mr Murthy for completion and signing following
which the form will be sent with the invoice directly
to the Insurance company. Alternately, they can

Any excess payments on the policy would need to
be settled by the patient within 14 days. These
may be submitted to the above address.
Self-pay patients
Mr Murthy welcomes uninsured patients who wish
to fund their consultations. Payment for the full
cost of consultation and procedures is payable
by the patient. This can be paid by cash or cheque
at the time of consultation or alternately, an
invoice will be issued and posted after the consultation
following which payment would be expected within
14 days. However, foreign patients, tourists and
expatriates will be required to pay in cash at
the end of the consultation.
Patients need to be aware that in the event of
any procedures carried out in the outpatients
department, the private hospitals are likely to
levy a separate charge for the use of the facilities
and equipment.
If treatment in the form of hospital admission
and surgery is required, an accurate estimate
of the total costs involved can be obtained from
Mr Murthy’s secretary, Lesley Wilson who
can be contacted on 0161 495 7008.
Wherever possible, costs will be kept to an absolute
minimum. |
